Couples can browse directories of leading hotel and municipal wedding venues across different destinations, compare options, and confirm their preferred location. Once a venue is chosen, the system surfaces up-to-date availability so a date can be booked and confirmed instantly.
Access is free for everyone. A reasonable fee is charged only when users are ready to book a confirmed date and venue. The platform also lets couples, travel agents, and wedding planners make pre-bookings well in advance.

The people behind the platform
Maria Evripides
Founder
WedDay was founded by Maria Evripides after 20 years of experience in the hotel and tourism industry. For a decade Maria focused specifically on the wedding market, working with brides, travel agents, wedding planners, and local authorities.
It was this first-hand understanding of the obstacles facing couples and tour operators planning a wedding abroad that prompted her to develop WedDay — a tool for couples, travel agents, and wedding planners, but also a way to help hotels and municipalities tap into the overseas wedding market.
Her start-up project was awarded in a global innovation challenge and attracted investment capital from an international organisation.
