While you can browse venues independently, we strongly recommend working with a licensed partner agency for a seamless experience.

This depends on the venue and local permit requirements. Most of our venues comfortably host 20–150 guests. Some exclusive hilltop venues in Greece cap at 80 for an intimate ceremony, while larger estate venues in Tuscany can accommodate 250+. Your partner agency will advise based on your shortlist.

Yes. Every venue goes through our 12-point verification process: legal licensing, public liability insurance, capacity permits, health & safety compliance, and at least 3 verified couple reviews. We re-verify annually and can suspend venues that fall short.

For a legally recognised civil ceremony in Greece you typically need: valid passports, birth certificates (apostille-stamped), certificate of no impediment from your home country, completed Greek civil registry application (ΔΗ.Υ.ΓΕ.Ι.Α), and in some municipalities a sworn declaration. WedDay generates a personalised checklist based on your nationalities and destination.

A civil ceremony performed in Greece, Italy, Spain, or Portugal is legally binding and recognised in all EU member states and most countries worldwide (including the UK, USA, and Australia) — provided the ceremony is registered with the local civil registry. Your partner agency handles the registration. Always confirm with your home country's registrar for name-change purposes.

A CNI is an official document from your home country's civil authority confirming neither of you has a legal impediment to marry (e.g. existing marriage). It must usually be obtained 3–6 months before the ceremony and apostille-stamped. Your WedDay dashboard provides country-specific guidance and tracks this document.

Bookings require a deposit (typically 20–30% of the total venue fee) to confirm your slot. The balance is due 60 days before the ceremony. We support Stripe (cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay) for international couples and Viva Wallet for Greek-resident couples. All transactions are encrypted and PCI-compliant.

Cancellation policies vary by venue and are clearly displayed before booking. Standard terms are: full refund up to 180 days before, 50% refund 90–179 days before, no refund within 89 days. Force majeure (documented illness, natural disaster) is handled case-by-case. We strongly recommend wedding insurance.

Most venues allow external suppliers provided they are pre-approved and hold public liability insurance. Some premium venues operate a preferred-supplier list for certain categories (catering, AV). Your partner agency will confirm restrictions and help vet external suppliers.
